"An Ancient Approach"
We are very excited to announce that our Blue Hills project was featured in the March/April 2018 issue of Design New England! Our clients approached us with a entirely new challenge for LDa – to design a new home utilizing the principles and geometry of Vastu Shastra, a traditional Hindu system of architecture – while also incorporating elements of traditional New England architecture and modern design. LDa Staff Update 2018!
2017 was a great year for LDa: Full of office-outings, photoshoots, great projects and an ever-growing team. With new staff members and promotions, 2018 is shaping up to be one of the best years yet! Promotions: Early this year LDa Principal Kyle Sheffield joined the ranks of Partner at the firm. Equally as exciting, Tracy Andrade, our Business Manager, was made Principal; and Andrew Hinterman was made Senior Associate. We are very excited to see what they get up to in their new roles. -

With the warm weather in sight and with spring right around the corner, we can’t help but look forward to infusing our designs with a bit more color and pattern. One trend we’ve noticed resurfacing, especially for spring, is wallpaper. Whether on an accent wall or even as a statement on the ceiling, we’ve seen all different kinds of wallpaper being incorporated into people’s homes. From metallic or embroidered to textured or floral, homeowners are becoming more adventurous when it comes to decorating the spaces in their homes! -
