May 2019Living Mid-Century Modern Discussion
Yesterday, LDa Principal, Douglas Dick, participated in a discussion about the evolution of mid-century modern design. We are thrilled to have teamed up with such an amazing group of panelists, including: David Fixler - David Fixler Architecture, Michael McMillan - Associate Curator at Fuller Craft Museum and Kyle Hoepner - Editor-in-Chief of New England Home Magazine. -

Boston Design Week 2019
Last week we had the pleasure of taking part in two separate panels for Boston Design Week 2019! LDa Principals, John Day and Kyle Sheffield, got to participate in dynamic discussions tackling different issues and trends that are happening in the design industry. March 2019Mini-Designers at LDa!
On Tuesday we had a different type of "client" meeting and got to host a local kindergarten class! They just started a course on construction, so we had them tour the office and then learn about the process of designing and building. Throughout the year the class has been touring local buildings to get a better sense of size, scale, and types of buildings; but we thought it would be especially fun if they could see how a project all comes together before it is actually built, right here in our office! -

KidsBuild! All Grown Up 2017
Every year the BSA hosts an event called KidsBuild! where children of all ages come to create and build. As stated on the BSA's site: "KidsBuild! is a hands on, interactive learning experience for children, which is committed to creating learning opportunities for children through design and the built environment." -

The trophy is back! After our 2014 win, we were stunned by our 2015 defeat to our worthy opponent Payette, so we got out the books and the flashcards to reclaim the title in 2016! -

October 2015PRISM Awards - LDa Takes Home Three!
After submitting to the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston's PRISM Awards earlier this summer, we were invited to attend the awards gala this past Friday night. What a fun night it was! LDa took home three awards... 1. Gold - Best Kitchen Remodel Over $200,000 for our residential project Ledgewood. Architects Douglas Dick and Thomas Jonak were on the team for this renovation in a historic home. -
