Junior Interior Designer

Junior Interior Designer

LDa is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join our creative team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working under the supervision of senior staff, the Junior Interior Designer will perform a variety of tasks including concept development, drafting and modeling, presentation preparation, product research and specification, ordering and scheduling, site inventories/installations, and other organizational duties, performed independently and as part of larger design teams.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel required; Studio Designer, InDesign, and Photoshop skills preferred
  • Excellent organization, attention-to-detail, and oral and written communication skills
  • Interest and/or experience in high-end residential and commercial interior design
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and professional attitude
  • Knowledge/ understanding of the construction and building process and of working with architects

Experience & Education

  • 1-3 years of design experience
  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Interior Design

This position will focus on residential project work, but the ability and willingness to work in both residential and commercial design as well as in the construction world is desired.

Director of Human Resources

Director of Human Resources

LDa is seeking a collaborative and motivated individual to join our team as Director of Human Resources! 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand goals and implement strategies related to staffing, recruitment, and retention
  • Manage the firm’s professional development efforts, including training opportunities, annual employee reviews, and implementation of performance-related plans
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding 
  • Oversee the administration of benefits, including but not limited to, health, dental and disability insurance; company retirement plan; flexible spending plan; Aflac; etc. 
  • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Conduct annual workers’ compensation insurance audit
  • Oversee recruitment and hiring, including writing job descriptions, participating in job fairs, conducting interviews, etc.
  • Counsel leadership on HR-related issues
  • Manage employee recognition programs
  • Manage staff payroll and collaborate with leadership on compensation-related matters
  • Update and maintain the firm’s Employee Manual, enforcing policies and updating as appropriate
  • Administer and promote the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices 
  • Maintain employee records as well as reporting and metrics related to demographics
  • Keep abreast of HR best practices and recommend updates to internal systems and policies that would benefit the firm and enhance the employee experience 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a human resources role
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • PHR and SHRM-CP certifications strongly preferred
  • Experience in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry preferred but not required

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Strong understanding of HR-related matters including benefits, compensation, employment law, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Collaborative, team player attitude
