The lower level, previously designed as a gym and playroom, was transformed into a space for the clients’ now teenaged sons to hang out and for the family to enjoy movie nights. Boasting a large game collection, the clients also requested a unique, dedicated space to host game nights with friends. LDa delivered with a modern and moody game room, complete with built-in storage and dramatic oversized pendants. The media room was updated with a new walnut feature wall with integrated TV and storage—a detail that was also used on new barn doors that provide privacy to the gym and game room. Existing furniture was re-purposed, paint and art were updated, and new furniture, rugs, and lighting help round out the cozy and fun space. 

Upstairs, the team gave the family room a sophisticated refresh. A grasscloth wallcovering, sheer draperies, and new furniture and rugs warm up the space, while a contemporary light fixture adds a modern touch. Updates to the primary bedroom—a custom credenza, new seating area, and rug—create a soft and inviting space. With the help of Boston Art, key pieces of original artwork were added throughout help to rejuvenate the overall aesthetic of the home.
