Woods End
Woods End
Dedham, Ma
When it came time to downsize into a home they could grow old in, our clients wanted to make sure they could make the most out of their new space. The goal of this project was to renovate an 80’s era ranch-style home, and design a spacious, functional floor plan, with the design flexibility to age in place.
We focused on creating a layout that would give the couple multiple zones of living space and take advantage of their woodland views. Rooms were combined and the ceiling lofted to better organize the primary living spaces. The newly renovated kitchen includes plenty of space for cooking and entertaining, and opens to the living and dining areas. A new garage entry, powder room, mudroom and basement stair complete the design. Selected improvements were also made to the existing bedrooms and storage areas, subtle changes that better suit the clients’ lifestyle.
