An the end unit in a collection of 1970s brick townhouses, our client’s home is spread over four levels with a central, open staircase. Hoping to maximize the available floor area and modernize the kitchen, they asked LDa to develop ideas for expanding the master suite and updating the kitchen and baths.
Utilizing the open area available in an existing light well, we were able to extend the floor plate of the master bedroom to add a new closet adjacent to the renovated master bath and expand the lofted office above the master bedroom. Renovations to the kitchen, bath, and master bath completed the project and were designed in a modern style that would complement the home’s architecture and the owner’s collection of mid-century furniture.
