Greylock Glen Outdoor Resort
Adams, MA
LDa completed a design study as part of a solicitation held by the Town of Adams, MA for a proposed Outdoor Center at Greylock Glen Resort. Located on a portion of the 1,063 acre state-owned property known as “Greylock Glen,” the proposed $50 million development was envisioned as a four-season recreational resort destination adjacent to the DCR’s 12,500-acre Mount Greylock State Reservation.
Intended as a multi-use public building, it would consist of a welcome/orientation area; exhibit space; a media room; four classrooms; a concession area, and restrooms. Also planned for was the inclusion of a future Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts field station for the college’s growing Environmental Studies program as well as a Nordic Ski Center to be run by a private operator.
