LDa collaborated with Platt Builders to add a generously sized 4-season sun porch in place of an existing terrace. The new porch is perched at the top of a steep and terraced hillside and affords views into the canopy of surrounding trees. Large windows were incorporated into the design to draw in a generous amounts of daylight and for seasonal ventilation. Inside, the addition was finished with materials in keeping with the timber frame and overall character of the existing home.
The roof shape and finish are both sympathetic with and complementary of the house exterior. Our clients furnished the space with Stickley arm chairs in a casual conversational arrangement, perfect for enjoying relaxed family time any time of day and any season of the year.
