When it came time to extensively renovate their Gothic-style home in Brookline, our clients knew they wanted to take a more contemporary approach. While still keeping the architectural details that make the home unique, LDa reinterpreted the rear of the house to include wall to wall windows that overlook the surrounding landscape and an expansive open floor plan where their family can gather; whether they are in the kitchen cooking or hanging out in the family room. Considering the old age of the home, most rooms were redesigned and reconfigured to accommodate modern amenities & today’s standard of living. Throughout the house, all existing systems and interior finishes were replaced.
The interiors of the home keep with a contemporary style and focus on clean, simple lines that emphasize the character of the home. Finishes and furnishings are modern, polished yet comfortable, to accommodate the client’s young family. Currently Under Construction.
