City of Cambridge Sullivan Chamber A/V Renovations
City of Cambridge Sullivan Chamber A/V Renovations
Cambridge, MA
Through a recent “House Doctor” contract with the City of Cambridge, LDa was engaged to complete a feasibility study to assess the audio/visual capabilities of various meeting spaces around the city and provide potential improvement recommendations for the sites addressed. The study encompasses a broad range of spaces, each with their own challenges and opportunities. In each case, the design team worked to refine an approach that balanced the city’s goals, estimated construction cost and ease of implementation while minimizing the disruption of day-to-day city operations.
Following the completion of this feasibility study, LDa was awarded the second phase - implementing the recommended renovations. The scope of the work included improving A/V systems, room acoustics, lighting conditions, mechanical systems and overall functionality in each location, including two historic spaces in City Hall, the Sullivan Chamber and Ackermann Meeting Room, and the Sophie J. Anastos Room.
