Following a feasibility study assessing an area of small wood-framed houses in order to increase the availability of residential housing for junior and senior students, LDa began the next phase in design and construction for 13 renovations to existing properties and one new infill housing unit.
Nicknamed “CoHo” (short for Community Housing), Tufts was inspired to create a living community that would foster personal development and leadership for it’s students residing in the Villages. The concept was to develop on campus housing by utilizing existing wood frame residential buildings that neighbor the university to create an off campus experience that has on campus benefits.
