LDa was fortunate to become involved in the building of this new home during the early stages. The clients had hired an architect with a traditional practice to design a home appropriate for the well-established neighborhood, but who did not have an interiors team. Brought in as the interior designers, this collaboration allowed us to carefully align the finishes, lighting, hardware and millwork with the architecture as it was in progress.
The decor aesthetic took a more modern turn from the architecture, balancing the traditional volumes and details with transitional pieces. We also worked with our client to incorporate treasured antiques and previously collected art into the cohesive look. New furniture, drapery, rugs and accessories completed the overall composition - a bright, sophisticated color palette layered with natural textures and mixed patterns.
