Terrace Edge exterior

Terrace Edge

Weston, MA

This contemporary new build was designed to connect with the surrounding landscape and provide a young couple with their forever home. With its minimalist style and a simple palette enriched by jewel tones and natural materials, the home has a distinctly urban feel despite its suburban location.

Spaces for gathering

On the main living level, the open plan is organized around a double-height, double-sided fireplace clad in herringbone cork and metallic paper. It creates separation between formal and casual living areas while maintaining openness and visual flow.

Indoor–outdoor connection

Double-height windows frame views of the deck, yard, and pool, drawing the outdoors inside. Large double-height windows overlooking the back deck, yard, and pool create a strong connection to the outdoors, and throughout the space, the walls’ shiplap effect is achieved with wallboard and plaster—a subtle detail with a big impact.

Primary retreat

A sculptural stair leads to the primary suite, where a custom bed wall adds warmth and sophistication, while the bath’s angled wall and blue marble accents create a serene, open feel.

Individual expression

Two contrasting walk-in closets complete the suite, each reflecting its owner’s personal style—one bright and glamorous, the other dark and moody—demonstrating how individuality and shared living can comfortably coexist within one thoughtfully designed home.

Showroom garage

The lower level centers around a six-car, showroom-style garage inspired by the homeowner’s passion for automobiles. Glass walls allow views into the space from surrounding rooms, while a 30-foot glass door, polished terrazzo floors, luminous ceiling, and integrated service station elevate the experience.

Connected to place

Designed for flexibility and longevity, the home supports every aspect of daily life. Five bedrooms, two offices, an exercise room, and multiple gathering spaces allow room for work, relaxation, and entertaining, all within an energy-efficient envelope built for the future.
