Treff’s professional experience has focused on providing client focused and context sensitive design and project management services. Treff has achieved local and national recognition for his expertise in the merging of historic and contemporary aspects of New England residential and institutional architecture. He is a creative leader in a collaborative search for appropriate design solutions. Treff has served as studio critic, lecturer, and instructor, including posts at the Boston Architectural Center and the University of Virginia.

Mike Waters, AIA

Michael has long been recognized for his expertise in working with owners, designers and construction teams on the realization of innovative building design. His work is infused with design sensitivity and knowledge of ‘how buildings go together’. Most recently, Mike has completed the plan and design of Appalachian Mountain Club’s Medawisla Camp in northern Maine and a complete renovation of the MIT Alpha Theta Sigma Chi Residence at 532 Beacon Street in Boston.

Kyle Sheffield, AIA, LEED BD+C

A native New Englander and an architect for over fifteen years, Kyle has completed numerous residential projects that have focused largely on designs that mediate between contextual New England architecture and the need for more diverse contemporary spatial relationships. He is a hands-on architect who believes in a highly collaborative process, and utilizes his strong design, leadership and communication abilities to ensure every detail is thoughtfully addressed to create a cohesive and timeless result.

John Day, Assoc. AIA, Allied ASID, LEED

John's design talent, project experience and extensive knowledge of materials, furniture, finishes, and sustainable design as well as his professional ability to carefully manage projects make him uniquely prepared to lead the interiors department. His experience includes commercial and residential architecture and interior design for private residences from New England to Florida and California. John's prior commercial work includes clients such as the Boston Celtics, Fidelity, BMW North America, Volkswagen and Boston Sports Clubs.

Douglas E. Dick, AIA, LEED BD+C

As co-founder of LDa, Doug has over thirty years of professional design and project management experience. In addition to his abilities as a designer, Doug is a skilled team builder and project leader. Over the past decade, Doug has created architectural design solutions for commercial, cultural and residential clients. His architectural designs incorporate an artistic vision as well as a dedication to environmental sustainability.
