Set in a cozy Wellesley neighborhood this home almost, but not quite, met the new owner’s needs. After some time living in the house to become familiar with the layout, the owners were ready to carefully expand and make improvements. The biggest priority was to add a new a new three car garage with recreation/media room above, with a larger second entry and mudroom with improved storage and laundry area. Extensive exterior renovations included a new roof, siding, exterior trim, and shutters - all designed to tie the new addition to the existing home and to better suit the aesthetic of the neighborhood.
Interior changes include the reconfiguration of the master bath to gain additional space for a new closet and a larger, brighter bath area. More subtle changes were made to the kitchen and dining areas with new paint, fabrics, lighting, surfaces and materials, reflecting the new owners more transitional style.
