Situated on an approximately one-acre site in residential Vineyard Haven, this pocket neighborhood of six townhouses, organized as three duplexes, provides workforce housing to Martha’s Vineyard residents. The two- and three-bedroom units were designed using sustainable techniques including high-performance windows, insulation, and air sealing to reduce energy consumption. The project’s contextually sensitive design balances individual unit identity with fostering a sense of community.
