Looking to update their vacation home on Martha’s Vineyard, this Boston family approached LDa to create a space that would enable them to spend summer evenings hosting guests and friends, improve the overall layout of the home and freshen up the interiors. The newly added screened porch with built-in outdoor kitchen connects to the new patio area, and is an open, airy space for relaxing and dining. The existing kitchen was renovated, creating a more efficient layout with added storage, connecting to a new mudroom and powder room.
New interior finishes and furnishings were selected to create a casual, yet beach-chic atmosphere; driftwood stained floors, lacquered cabinet doors, reclaimed wood accents with white walls and furnishings. The mix of refined and textured materials create a highly stylish, yet approachable interior, perfect for entertaining.
